An ASB club is a student-led organization officially recognized by Bonney Lake High School’s ASB Government. Each club is created around a shared interest, activity, service goal, culture, or academic area.

ASB clubs usually have student officers, a staff advisor, an approved constitution, regular meetings, and a specific purpose. Clubs may plan activities, hold fundraisers, spend club funds, and participate in school events, but they must follow BLHS rules, Sumner-Bonney Lake School District policies, and Washington State ASB requirements.

The ASB Government helps approve and oversee clubs to make sure they are student-led, financially responsible, inclusive, and connected to the school community.

Bonney Lake High School offers a variety of ASB clubs so students can explore their interests, develop leadership skills, serve others, and connect with the Panther community.

BLHS clubs generally fall into three categories:

Co-curricular clubs connect classroom learning with activities, competitions, performances, and career exploration. Examples include Art Club, Choir Club, Drama Club, DECA, FCCLA, HOSA, JROTC, Panther Robotics, SkillsUSA, and Yearbook.

Service clubs focus on leadership, mentoring, and helping the school or community. Examples include Key Club, Leo Club, National Honor Society, and Panther Crue.

Student-interest clubs bring students together around shared cultures, identities, beliefs, hobbies, or social issues. Examples include Gaming Club, Gender & Sexuality Alliance, International Club, Jesus Club, and Speak Up.

Club offerings and meeting information may change during the school year. Students should check the official BLHS Clubs webpage for the most current list and contact information.

To participate in a BLHS club, students should:

• Be enrolled at Bonney Lake High School.
• Must have a current-year ASB Card purchased.
• Attend a scheduled meeting.
• Follow the club’s constitution, membership requirements, and attendance expectations.
• Follow BLHS and Sumner-Bonney Lake School District rules and conduct standards.
• Complete any required registration forms or pay applicable dues or activity fees.

Requirements may vary by club. Some co-curricular or competitive clubs may require enrollment in a related class, academic eligibility, online registration, or additional participation forms. Students should check with the club advisor for the specific requirements.

Financial assistance and fee waivers may be available for eligible students.

There is no single attendance requirement for every BLHS club. Each club may set its own membership and attendance expectations in its constitution.

To be considered an active member, students should attend meetings regularly, participate in club activities, and follow the club’s requirements. Students should ask the club advisor or officers about any specific attendance expectations.

Club meeting dates, times, and locations are shared through school announcements, club advisors, student leaders, posters, and BLHS communication platforms.

All clubs use a program called 5 Star Student to check students into meetings, and their events are posted on the Club Meeting and Club Events Calendar Page. 

Students can also contact the club advisor directly or attend an activity fair to learn more. Because meeting schedules may change, check with the club advisor for the most current information.
