Andrew

Andrew Arivett-Patton

Andrew is especially strong in work ethic, perseverance, and engagement and is new to BLHS this year. He had to persevere through driving quite a distance to get the BLHS, as well as starting a new school his senior year. He is in many AP Classes; in fact, his AP Chemistry is online and he works extremely hard to keep his percentage at 100%. He has also taken Principles of Leadership and brings an added value to all the big ideas and discussions. He is part of the Robotics Club and spends late hours crafting and perfecting the robot.

Victor came to the US about 6yrs ago from Costa Rica and didn't speak English. In middle school, he was put into remedial classes because the stereotype is that if you can't speak English, then you can't be successful. It didn't take long for Victor to shatter that barrier. In fact, when talking to Victor you'd never know English wasn't his primary language. Victor is taking advantage of every opportunity available to him in the US, especially in his education.
