BLHS artist wins regional art competition; advanced to state

Bonney Lake High School junior Anna Z. was selected as a winner in the 2025 Regional High School Art Show sponsored by the Puget Sound Educational Service District. Her acrylic painting on canvas, titled Sustainable Architecture, advances to the 52nd Annual State Superintendent’s High School Art Show in Olympia on May 14.
The piece symbolizes the connection among nature, humans, and architecture with the heart of nature inside the green building. After high school, Anna is planning to study for a career in architecture and wants to explore how sustainable architecture will impact the future of humanity.
