BLHS at FCCLA Nationals!

Panther FCCLA had a fabulous week in WA D.C. for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference! Students got to learn lots in workshops, from keynote speakers, attend a rally at the capital, compete, and more! Our students worked hard and dedicated many, many hours to prepare for this conference.
Chapter Recognition-
Our chapter was recognized as the HS Winner for the National Program Student Body with a focus on Sugar Awareness and understanding sugar in our bodies, specifically around sugar-added beverages. Chloe S. represented our Chapter and received the plaque on stage!
State Officer-
Jayla D. served as a WA State Officer as VP of Competitive Events and a National Voting Delegate. She got to interview national officer candidates and help run the state meetings during the week, including the STAR Events Competition recognition session.
Competition Results:
Allen B- Earned 1st Place and National Champion in the Knowledge Challenge test on the topic of Counseling and Mental Health Services. He also received a GOLD on his Interior Design project.
Addi N- Earned a Gold for her Focus on Children Project on helping plan and execute the Elementary Activity Night.
Audrey H- Earned recognition for finishing 8th in the nation for the Virtual Business Challenge in Personal Finance.
Chanel P.- Earned Silver for her Chapter in Review Portfolio project.
Reilly S.- Earned Silver for her Event Management project
Chloe S. & Delaney A.- Earned a Silver for their National Program in Action project
Larkin B.- Earned a Silver for her Hospitality project
Say Yes to FCS-
Delaney A. participated in the national signing event on stage for Say Yes to FCS, where she committed to being an FCS teacher in the future.
Adviser Recognition:
On a personal note, I got recognized as one of the Top 15 FCCLA Advisers of the Year, and I earned the Master Adviser Academy: Elite designation as well.
Overall, BLHS had a great FCCLA Nationals, and we are so very proud of all they accomplished, as well as the professionalism and FCCLA spirit they showed during the week!
They represented Bonney Lake High School well!
